Suitable for arc, mig/mag, tig and plasma welding. Automatically protects the operator from eye injuries caused by arc, leaving both hands free. Equipped with two sets of photosensors to sense arc light. Solar power relieves the need for batteries. Offers permanent uv/ir protection up to din 15 whilst in use. Welding shade can be easily selected by way of a side mounted adjustment dial. Automatically detects weld arc and switches from shade 4 to pre-selected shade (9, 10, 11, 12 or 13). Time to dark: 0.5ms. The shells are certified to bs en 175: 1997 for eye and face protection. They can withstand a temperature of 650 c from the end of the electrode for five seconds, without burning. The electronic lenses are certified to din en 169 and din 179.
